Digging for Victory
This week I have been busy building raised beds. After a trip to the local Scaffold hire company I managed to get my hands on a dozen 13 foot white wood ex-hire scaffold boards. The first half dozen went to a good friend and professional gardener who wanted to grow vegies and herbs in the driveway space next to her house. This area is a great location as it is a major sun trap and will be super useful as it is just outside the kitchen. We included posts to allow for netting to be place over the whole bed to keep out unwanted neighbourhood cats. I will post some photos later in the year when they are full of yummy plants
Later in the week I revisited a client who had previously commissioned me to build a matching pair of raised beds and to terrace her very step front garden. This time around she was after a set of matching beds but also wanted to partition more of the garden and extend the terracing. Again I used the ex-hire scaffold boards which over time in the weather will gradually change colour and eventually match the exisitng beds
If you would like a raised bed similar to these please contact me via either email or text and I will be happy to source the scaffold boards to make them for you,
